Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, Digital Marketplace Trade & Merchandising to join our eCommerce team based in City, Country.

Let’s Talk about the Role

As a key member of the Timberland EMEA Digital team, the Senior Manager, Digital Marketplace Trade & Merchandising is responsible for driving daily trading operations across eCommerce and DTC marketplaces, while leading site merchandising efforts for the eCom channel. This role leads digital trading strategy, seasonal planning, and go-to-market (GTM) execution—ensuring consistent alignment with brand marketing and a seamless, on-brand consumer experience across all visual merchandising and trade touchpoints.

The position reports directly to the Director of eCommerce and Digital DTC.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Own the eCom and DTC Marketplace commercial and trade calendar, ensuring alignment across internal teams for major events (e.g., Black Friday, end-of-season sales) and business goals.
  • Translate financial plans into actionable forecasts aligned with the trade calendar, collaborating cross-functionally (marketing, merchandising, finance, and planning) to deliver on KPIs.
  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to boost key metrics such as ABV, UPT, and CR, driving sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
  • Provide regular performance insights, KPIs, and trading metrics to inform strategy and identify business risks and opportunities for leadership.
  • Optimize 2P assortments and participate in the GTM process, driving improvements in trade and merchandising workflows with retail, marketing, CX, and planning teams.
  • Contribute to the Go-To-Market (GTM) process, continuously improving trade and merchandising workflows by partnering with marketing, CX, and brand teams to define and refine content strategy, A/B testing in support of trading goals.
  • Deliver regular KPI reporting and insights on digital trade performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and data-driven recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead and support digital trade initiatives, merchandising projects, site enhancements, and cross-brand/regional/global innovations and enhancements.
  • Monitor emerging tools and technologies to recommend solutions that improve conversion, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Skills for Success

  • 6–8 years of experience in a similar eCommerce or Digital trade role.
  • Experience in digital commerce, with a proven track record of leading teams, managing vendor relationships, and influencing merchandising and planning strategy.
  • Strong expertise in digital merchandising tools and best practices.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (SFCC is a plus) and familiarity with systems architecture.
  • Experience in business intelligence tools and stong in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics platforms, especially Google Analytics.
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce customer journey and digital marketing principles.
  • Financially literate, with a strong ability to analyze and act on business metrics.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to turn insights into action.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate about people development and developing teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
