JOB MISSION:

The Sales Audit Analyst for Retail will be responsible for auditing sales for EMEA retail locations, communicating with stores after audits, and implementing controls to prevent future issues. The Retail Sales Audit Analyst will partner with retail finance, IT, DTC, our merchandising team, store managers, and loss prevention team to align all responsibilities within the sales audit function.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Audit of Retail Sales transactions for the EMEA Region.
  • Maintain and review audit rules within relevant systems to ensure they align with the company policy.
  • Identify and facilitate the resolution of any variances by working closely with internal partners across multiple departments.
  • Oversee the period-end sales audit close.
  • Manage the setup of new retail stores within relevant systems and maintenance of existing locations.
  • Lead and drive investigations when relevant with the support of the operations team or loss prevention team.
  • Oversee customer refund applications covering issues such as order fulfillment, duplicate system charges, and chargeback inquiries, amongst others.
  • Prepare monthly retail journal entries using appropriate NB Systems.
  • Retail Credit Card reconciliations – EMEA Region.
  • Retail Cash reconciliations – EMEA Region.
  • Retail Gift Card reconciliations – EMEA Region.
  • Store visits on a regular basis making sure all finance processes are followed correctly.
  • Continuously contribute to improving store processes to minimise cash losses or fraud.
  • Work with the Store Training Manager to review and revise store procedures for POS and card/cash handling etc.
  • Calculate and submit regular Store Turnover submission reports, as well as manage the year end audited turnover certificate preparation for the region.
  • Assist with any retail sales related testing/queries during the annual statutory audits.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Experience working within a fast-paced Finance team.
  • Relevant finance qualifications and background.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and build good internal relations across different markets.
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • IT skills – Excel (Vlookups/Pivot Tables)
  • Experience in Retail/Ecommerce environments.
  • Experience using APTOS or other retail POS management software applications.
  • Addition language skills in French/Spanish/Polish/German are advantageous.
