Job Description

Duration: Permanent contract.

Location: Annecy, France.

Salomon, a global leader in the sports and outdoor industry, is seeking a talented 3D Design Modeler to join its dynamic creative team. As a 3D Design Modeler, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative products and contribute to the evolution of the Salomon brand.

Responsibilities:

• Creating 3D models and digital samples based on 2D design research.
• Adapting the modeling workflow according to the maturity level and difficulty of the request.
• Generating photorealistic renderings using various artistic styles.
• Creating virtual scenarios.
• Providing precise models of the elements that compose the product model.
• Ensuring perfect file management based on their final destination: simulation/optimization, animation, virtual reality, augmented reality, pack design.

Main missions:

• Influencing, advising, and challenging project group members by demonstrating through 3D visualization the necessary elements to respect the design intent, performance constraints, and industrial requirements.
• Supervising technological research on 3D rendering.
• Training, monitoring, and educating design team members on 3D modeling.
• Enhancing the skills of 3D partners (CAD, modelers, 3D artists, etc.).
• Leading and coordinating the execution of the digital transformation strategy action plan.
• Coordinating, in the form of a working group, the validation and successful completion of the digital product before the design and development validation stages.

 

Qualifications

Required Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in 3D modeling and project management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) or Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Digital Design / Digital Art / 3D Design preferred.

Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus.

Specific Skills:

• Ability to interact with design, marketing, R&D, industrialization, CAD, and pattern-making teams.
• Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Office,
  • Modeling and rendering tools (Substance 3D, Blender, and Rhinoceros 3D).
• Knowledge in computational design would be a plus.
