Let’s Talk about the Role
The Associate Coordinator, Retail Marketing will play a key role in supporting the execution and success of our Retail Marketing and Visual Merchandising strategy across Vans® stores in the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have a background in visual merchandising, an eye for design and experience in retail marketing.
How You Will Make a Difference
You will achieve this by:
Visual Merchandising & Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of visual merchandising, including supporting and monitoring production and distribution processes on in-store assets.
- Track the deployment & ensure compliance of the VM guidelines across all stores.
- Provide on-site support and guidance to store teams on VM implementation.
- Conduct regular assessments of store layouts and product presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to brand VM standards
- Analyze sales data to optimize & assess effectiveness of VM guidelines and seasonal strategy regularly, gather store teams and customers feedback to improve & elevate in-store experience.
Retail Activations:
- Support planning and execution of in-store activations, ensuring seamless coordination with store teams and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of localized activation programs to drive customer engagement.
Project Coordination:
- Assist with the planning and execution of VM projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as designers, vendors, and store operations teams.
Skills for Success
- Visual merchandising experience: A strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and best practices is essential
- Retail knowledge: Familiarity with the retail environment, preferably within the fashion or footwear industry.
- Project management: You are organized, with experience in managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, creative, problem-solving analytical skills are essential.
- Knowledge of software like Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), SketchUp and Yoobic is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) is a must.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a must. Any other language is a plus.
- A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing / Communication / Business administration is nice to have.
