At On, we are expanding our Operations EMEA team with an Inbound Operations Manager to support our stable growth. We are excited to offer this position to a passionate professional experienced in managing the flow of all inventory from the point of departure from the country of origin into the warehouses within the European distribution network. This role proactively ensures timely container delivery to the third-party logistic provider’s distribution center. You will work closely with global teams to shape the processes necessary to scale our operations and ensure efficient ability to inject inventory into our third-party logistic provider’s (3PL) warehouses in Europe. Furthermore, you will support our Inventory Control team by conducting warehouse investigations and addressing compliance matters as they arise.

Your mission

– Oversee inbound container management from port to European warehouses, including prioritization of containers
– Proactively communicate with third-party logistic providers (3PL) and logistic service providers (LSP) to ensure timely delivery and to prevent demurrage and detention fees
– Resolve any escalation between 3PL and LSP and act as the facilitator
– Collaborate closely with the regional Warehouse Coordinator and Orderbook Specialist to ensure accurate inbound prioritization
– Lead monthly process for analyzing inbound receiving discrepancies
– Manage supplier relationships including drayage, inbound 3PL teams, and ocean carriers
– Collaborate with Global Logistics on regional implementations and projects.
– Support the replenishment process between the warehouses in Luxembourg and Belgium
– Support the regional inventory control team with warehouse investigations and compliance matters
– Lead regional change management for Nexus implementations

Your story

– Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Transportation
– 5-8 years of experience in freight planning / transportation management roles
– Proficiency with Excel / Sheets and has experience working with large data sets to convert into clearly informed decision making tools
– Self-driven with excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and processes
