Amer Sports is looking for an experienced Record to Report Team Lead – Journal Entries & Reporting to join our Record to Report team in Kraków, Poland.
In this role, you will oversee and guide the Journal Entries & Reporting team, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls while driving efficiency, accuracy, and process improvements. You will play a crucial role in month-end closing activities, financial reporting, and supporting audits, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What you will be doing:

• Month-End Closing & Compliance: Ensure that closing tasks are completed accurately and on time, in line with group schedules and internal controls.
• Team Leadership & Guidance: Lead the Journal Entries & Reporting team, share expertise, and support professional growth.
• Process & Efficiency Improvements: Identify and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Audit Support: Provide documentation and process insights for internal and external audits.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with finance leadership and stakeholders to align team efforts with business goals.
• Financial Analysis & Insights: Analyze reports and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
• System & Process Optimization: Support the design, implementation, and updates of financial processes to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Team Development & Motivation: Foster a positive, collaborative environment, ensuring team members are engaged and supported.

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Record-to-Report (RTR) processes, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel; familiarity with Blackline, OneStream, and Kyriba is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in SOX compliance, process improvement, and financial governance.
• Fluent English (written & spoken).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
