In this new role, you’ll be leading our Retail Marketing team and will be responsible for our storytelling in our stores and wholesale partners. You will lead the strategy and execution of all marketing initiatives within a brand’s owned and partner retail environments.This global role will be instrumental in elevating our brand through compelling marketing strategies and concepts.

Your mission

-Develop a team of retail marketers, and provide strong leadership fostering a culture of collaboration, coaching, mentoring, and professional development
– Lead with a strategic and solution-oriented approach, making decisions, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
– Tell the story of the brand, ensure it is consistently messaged across all retail channels (DTC, B2B, and Partners) and aligned with internal Marketing strategies
– Shape On’s retail brand experience and lead the development of innovative concepts—spanning programming frameworks, services, formats, campaign activations, and storytelling—that differentiate the brand and drive business impact
– Create toolkits and guidelines that empower regional retail marketing and brand activation teams to execute with excellence
– Effectively collaborate with internal partners and department leads to align Marketing efforts with company strategy and goals; partner with Commercial team to ensure Marketing strategies run parallel with field objectives
– Develop and streamline processes to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our retail brand initiatives
– Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of On’s aesthetics, upholding our brand’s visual language and standards

Your story

– 9+ years of progressive experience within retail marketing, consumer experiences and/or in-store marketing roles with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies and projects
– 6+ years of experience in a leadership role – your leadership skills have been honed through previous management roles, and you have a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. Ideally you’ve been part of a Brand Experience Management team.
– A degree in marketing, art/design, and/or communications.
– A real expert in your field, you’ve worked brand side with a creative mindset and solution-oriented way of thinking (for at least 5 years). Additionally, agency experience would be a plus.
– You have deep knowledge and expertise in marketing and brand building in premium and or luxury space for retail
– Ability to stay current and build upon Marketing best practices and trends; you have a keen eye for design and aesthetics, understanding how to align them with the On brand identity
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills allow you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
Experience in budget management. Proven track record in end-to-end budget planning, forecasting, and optimization to maximize ROI across global retail initiatives.
– Digital Marketing experience.
– You can demonstrate success in managing agency partnerships and driving results through external collaborators
– You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and driving innovation
– You are skilled at leading teams both directly and indirectly in a highly matrixed environment
– Ability to travel 20% – based on business needs/fluctuation
– A positive spirit, you guide, direct and inspire those around you. You see yourself as a partner to your teammates and want to help them achieve their true potential
– Great communication skills are a must, with a high proficiency in English

As the Director of Retail Brand Marketing, you will lead and develop a talented and diverse team focused on bringing On’s brand to life across our physical retail environments. At our core, we craft impactful stories that connect our community to the brand, through in-store campaigns, immersive experiences, and bold activations. We translate On’s energy, passion, and global spirit into retail moments that inspire.
