Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As Sr. Manager, Quality – HK Sourcing Office, you will spearhead quality excellence across Asia-Pacific manufacturing hubs while balancing strategic leadership with operational execution.
You will:
· Lead a multinational team of Quality Managers, Quality Specialists and Technical Specialists across several vendor countries
· Serve as the critical liaison between Arc’teryx headquarters and manufacturing partners to align quality programs with brand standards and protocols
· Drive innovation in quality assurance through data-driven process optimization and preventive risk management

The Sourcing Team builds and executes a sustainable global sourcing strategy that enables us to deliver exceptional product at the right place, with the right quality and cost, and on-time. You will partner internally with Design, Product, Quality, Compliance, Supply Chain, Sustainability as well as externally with our vendor partners to identify and fulfill the specifications, quality standards and deliver all product commercialized and manufactured by our vendors.

If you were the Sr. Manager, Quality – HK Sourcing Office now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Planning and deploying regional quality roadmaps aligned with Arc’teryx’s long term strategic plans (LTSP)
  • Leading a large department, including guiding the work of regional team leaders and specific matter experts
  • Developing and coaching subordinates, incl. reviewing of results, providing feedback and taking corrective actions
  • Developing talent pipelines through competency matrices for 30+ technical staff across China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia and emerging regions
  • Organizing and host annual Quality Team Summits to harmonize standards, protocols and share best practices
  • Operational Excellence
  • Accountable for managing operations of the department, providing directions and prioritizing in alignment with the strategic deliverables or policy
  • Approving of decision on any changes to protocols and requirements within our policy
  • Executing seasonal inspection planning covering 100% of pre-production sample audits and up to 100% random bulk audits (AQL)
  • Overseeing and deploying self-inspection programs (SIP) based on individual vendor performance
  • Partnering with 3rd party Quality service partners to complement the inspection planning and additional needs
  • Leading CAPA and other quality improvement programs to resolve critical non-conformances in bulk production and pertaining low quality performance based on internal or guest complaints
  • Elevating existing quality data analysis, reporting and internal governance through implementation of up-to-date BI dashboards and other analytical tools
  • Preparing quality documentation and summaries by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions, and re-validations
  • Upholding Fair Labour Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain.
  • Vendor Partnership
  • Engaging directly with vendor leadership in manufacturing and quality management to strengthen collaboration and to achieve sustainable improvements in Quality Management Systems, quality mindset and ultimately consistent product quality delivered
  • Overseeing monthly vendor scorecards and lead meetings with vendor
  • Auditing vendor operating procedures and quality plans to align with brand expectations on behalf of new vendor onboarding and as part of the recurring vendor performance evaluations

Are you our next Sr. Manager, Quality – HK Sourcing Office?

  • You hold a Diploma or Degree in Quality, Engineering, or other relevant industrial area, as well as 12+ years’ experience in a quality focused role
  • You have 4+ years’ experience in managing from remote a team of quality specialists based in vendor locations
  • You have an excellent knowledge of garment construction, quality management systems, engineering tools and statistical analysis
  • You have extensive knowledge of organizational operations globally operating companies with strategic oversight
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You demonstrate initiative, agility, and commitment, while balancing autonomy and collaboration
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity, and thrive in a fast paced, diverse, ever evolving and values led environment
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You have excellent interpersonal and English communication skills (written and verbal)
