We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Finance Business Partner to support our DTC channels, including Brand Owned E-commerce and Retail including both Full-priced Brand Stores & Outlet Stores. In this role, you will serve as a key financial advisor and strategic partner to our Brand team emphasizing DTC channels, helping drive business performance through sound financial planning, analysis, and operational insight.
You will play a critical role in budget planning, forecasting, and cost control, as well as bridging communication between the Brand teams and internal finance and functional teams. Your insights will support decision-making processes and ensure alignment with brand as well as company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with DTC (E-commerce/Retail) teams to manage and monitor budgets, forecasts, and actuals on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Lead and support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for DTC channels.
- Provide financial analysis, performance tracking, and actionable insights to drive profitability and efficiency across all DTC initiatives.
- Act as a bridge between Brand teams and support functions (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.), ensuring smooth communication and strategic alignment.
- Support the creation and maintenance of budget management tools and templates for the Brand teams.
- Advise Brand teams on financial matters, including ROI analysis, cost allocation, and strategic investment planning.
- Assist with monthly closing processes, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Business Partnering, or Controlling roles, preferably within the consumer goods, retail, or digital sectors.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a solid understanding of financial planning and reporting processes.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Hyperion, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills in English; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Language requirements: Fluent Japanese (Writing/ Reading/Speaking) and Business Level English (Writing/ Reading/Speaking).
