We are looking for a curious, analytical, technology-focused and future thinking intern to join our Operations team. You’ll be diving deep into our day-to-day workflows, identifying inefficiencies or repetitive tasks, and exploring how artificial intelligence and machine learning could provide smarter solutions.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about the intersection of business operations and emerging technologies.

– Start date: June 23rd to September 5th
– Duration: 12 weeks
– Prerequisite: Interest in area relevant to the internship, passion for On, right to work in the United States (Portland, OR)

Your mission

– Analyze existing operational workflows, with a focus on areas like inventory management, data and analytics, warehouse capacity forecasting, logistics.
– Identify pain points or inefficiencies that could benefit from automation or artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) solutions.
– Research and propose AI/ML use cases tailored to operational needs (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent routing, inventory optimization).
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, Sales Operations, etc) to scope feasibility of solutions.
– Build basic prototypes or proof-of-concepts or outline solution roadmaps for tech teams to execute.
– Present findings and recommendations to the Operations leadership team.

Your story

– Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
– Creative thinker who views challenges and problems as opportunities
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with data modeling or process mapping is a plus.
– Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools (e.g., Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or other platforms).
– Passion for efficiency and continuous improvement.
– Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical ideas into business-friendly language.
– Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred (but not required)
– Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau.
– Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes.
– Prior internship or project work related to automation or AI applications.
