We’re looking for an outstanding Merchandiser Trainee to join our Product Merchandise Team of The North Face in Stabio, Switzerland.

What will you do?

  • Support European merchandise managers on the Go to Market process for Strategic Accounts

  • Coordinate general product requests for example, market info, samples, product quality etc. for internal departments

  • Support in creating seasonal product briefs as directed by the merchandisers

  • Support European merchandise managers with day-to- day administration 

  • Provide support for department presentations

  • Create seasonal sales analysis and ensure update reports are circulated to the team

  • Actively participate in any new European initiatives that may take place

  • Assist with the Go to Market critical path

What you need to succeed?

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's/Master's studies in Product Management, Marketing, Economics, or having recently graduated

  • Strong command of the English language, second European language is an advantage

  • Preferred an experience in apparel environment with particular area of focus lifestyle and or performance

  • Team player, with strong organizational and communication skills

  • Able to demonstrate analytical skills

  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint is essential

  • Fashion conscious with a good understanding of product and able to demonstrate being ‘in touch’ with the market

  • A confident, energetic and proactive person with a visible passion for the product, the Brand and the activities we build products for

  • Exposure to working with other European countries and Strategic Accounts

  • Sensitivity to working across geographical and cultural boundaries

  • Ability to understand product and the technical outdoor market

  • Strong passion for our industry
