Atomic is one of the leading manufacturers of wintersports equipment and part of the Amer Sports Corporation. For our Business Unit Protection & Gear, located at our head office in Altenmarkt im Pongau / Salzburg we are seeking at the earliest possible date:

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER APPAREL & GEAR (M/F)

In this central role you will be responsible for the development of ski apparel, logo wear, head wear and gear products from early stage prototypes and samples, through to buyready products. You will be a key point of contact between product management, design management and our global supply chain.

KEY MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Maintain PLM system (Centric) to secure documentation and information transfer of key product data, such as BOM’s, colors, technical product specification, size grading and others
• On-time and on-target-cost development of all soft goods articles (ski apparel, logo wear, head wear, bags) according to agreed seasonal calendar
• Review and comment prototypes from early stage to confirmation samples, ensuring that development goals, such as design, functionality, fit, construction and others are being met
• Develop, review and approve fabric specification, lab dips, print strikes, trims, labels and other components in close alignment with design manager and product line manager
• Committed to developing apparel and gear product lines with a high focus on sustainability and responsibility
• Maintain and further develop highly functional and trusted relationships with key stakeholders internally (direct peers, other departments) and externally (supply chain, external partners)

YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in textile engineering, -design, -pattern making or related fields
• Professional experience in development of technical outerwear, sportswear or technical bags• Knowledge of apparel construction, materials, production processes, size grading, fitting and technical applications
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or priorities with high levels of ownership and accountability
• Sound proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and specific PLM software, preferably Centric
• Business-fluent English skills required, additional German language skill preferred
• Self-motivated team player with a pro-active and collaborative working style, curious mindset and entrepreneurial attitude preferred
• Comfortable with international travel and on-site factory visits
• Passionate about skiing and the greater outdoor

The annual collective agreement’s minimum salary for this position is € 37.000 gross. Depending on your personal qualifications and vocational experience, we offer an appropriate payment in excess thereof for this highly responsible activity and opportunities for development in a globally active group of companies.
