DEMAND PLANNING MANAGER (M/F)

The Demand Planning Manager leads the Demand Planning team and steers the demand strategy in order to achieve the objectives of sales, service and stock level in line with the strategy of Winter Sports Equipment. This role also includes the development of the global demand plan and inventory strategy to support the business plan with the objective to improve product availability while reducing overstocking risks. Furthermore, you improve demand plan accuracy by supporting the Commercial teams and enhance tools and processes.

TASKS AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

Leading the Demand Planning team:
• Leadership of a multicultural Demand Planning team in France and Austria
• Deploy the demand strategy and drive, challenge and negotiate within the organization and across all stakeholders
• Drive change management in order to simplify processes and systems and to improve operational efficiency and forecast accuracy
• Overall responsibility for the global demand plan for Winter Sports Equipment brands and categories

Operational Demand Planning tasks:
• Generate the monthly global demand plan based on market intelligence and diagnostic, working closely with relevant stakeholders
• Master demand planning process and guard demand planning accuracy and drive risk & opportunity analysis
• Review, analyze and challenge the forecast, conciliate between risk of stocks and the risk of shortages/delays
• Reconcile supply versus demand to improve product availability, while reducing overstock risk
• Support inventory, SKU control and challenge range efficiency and highlight non-performers to Product Management and Commercial teams

YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Strategic sense and ability to think tactically and proactive to challenge the status quo and to recommend innovative solutions
• Business acumen and selling skills
• Experience in leading / managing a team
• Ability to lead, convince and to influence stakeholders across the organization
• Expertise in S&OP process and demand planning tools
• Profound knowledge of data management and analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economic, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent work experience and education
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in a multicultural organization
• Knowledge of IT software (SAP/BI, SAC, AFO, Qlik, Excel)
• Fluent in German & English, French as a plus

The annual collective agreement’s minimum salary for this position is € 37.000 gross.
