This is your opportunity to become part of the worlds’ fastest growing sports company. We are looking for a Footwear Developer, who will be responsible for leading how On translates our footwear innovation work to athlete footwear products. The person will work directly with the broader product teams to create high-quality prototypes and samples.

Your mission

– Execute footwear development from start to finish for all of athlete-focused products
– Oversee fabrication and assembly of materials and components using almost any type of machinery and hand tool, including (but not limited to!) machines for cutting, injecting, sanding, buffing, sewing, welding, pressing, additive manufacturing and lasting
– Develop project timelines and clear communication with Zurich development teams and suppliers
– Identify new suppliers for key projects
– Drive footwear projects with suppliers and work with them to steer development process when needed
– Demonstrated experience with tooling and different molding processes
– Drive prototype and testing with Zurich development teams in both wear and lab testings

Your story

– A real expert in your field, you’ve worked in global footwear industry for at least 5 years, especially with experience in performance footwear
– Demonstrated expertise in traditional footwear manufacturing processes – injecting, cutting, sewing, welding, machining, laser cutting, construction, prototyping. Excellent understanding of pattern and shoe construction with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement
– Expert in commercializing new technology and leading manufacturing scaling, costing and testing. Understanding of compounds at a general level
– Excellent communication skills, in both English and Vietnamese, and comfort adapting communication style between cross-functional partners at all levels
– Ability to work independently under a deadline on several projects simultaneously which requires both innovative ideas and engineering problem-solving. Exemplify a high tolerance for ambiguity and solution-focused attitude
– Ability to travel up to 40 % of the time
