Eastpak EMEA is looking for an exceptional Social Media & Community Specialist to join our Marketing team based in Antwerp, Belgium.

You will be a change making influence and community builder, supporting the voice of the brand and driving the Eastpak – Built To Resist purpose.

As Social Media & Community Specialist you will take the lead in curating Eastpak’s voice through the Brand`s digital channels. You will be the authority in developing the Eastpak digital communications plan to drive engagement and awareness for the brands key projects and purpose messaging across the digital channels. Key responsibilities of this role are:              

  • Manage the global social media and population calendars

  • Grow Brand community engagement through a maintained and curated digital communications presence

  • Be the advocate for change and driver of purpose led initiatives

  • Lead the brand community initiative, creating an always-on platform that celebrates creative self-expression.

  • Manage an influencer and seeding strategy

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

Social Media

  • Planning and maintaining the Eastpak global social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and others). Building the monthly strategy and calendar in line with the global key initiatives.

  • Managing the social posting schedule, getting the sign off from relevant parties in a timely manner

  • Developing the Eastpak social media strategy to ensure the brand leads digital first communications – identifying new channels, trends and online strategies as the brand’s core audience evolves to Gen Z.

  • Sourcing and managing UGC content

  • Regularly present the plan and review online activities to growth markets (eg US)

Influencer

  • Identify and manage a brand ambassador/influencer database. Sourcing and building relationships with ambassadors that support key initiatives, projects and purpose.

  • Managing the seeding programs for social media placements that support key stories.

Purpose

  • Be the champion of the new creative community platform. Source and coordinate content with ambassadors and creators across the calendar year, that align with the brand purpose and key consumer moments.

  • Align with the brand creative team to align the community platform with brand identity and DNA.

  • Work with the digital team to host and promote community content across channels.

Omni-Channel/Glocal Mindset

  • Support the global regions with storytelling that support both online and offline brand initiatives.

  • Align with regional marketing and VM teams to promote relevant activations that support a global vision (e.g. Windows, events, special activations).

Reporting

  • Create and circulate a monthly report detailing actions taken in digital communications and results to senior management.

Skills for Success

You should be a self-starter that thrive on accuracy and problem solving multi taskers with a keen ability to prioritize and follow up. You are an excellent communicator with a growth mindset, with:

  • Demonstrable experience in building engaged communities, social media optimisation or content marketing and setting up and developing social media accounts

  • Great understanding of the current social and digital media ecosystem, the latest online behaviour trends, as well as existing and emerging technology.

  • Knowledge of social media analytics software (E.g Hootsuite, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insights, Facebook Insights or similar tools)

  • You are fluent in English and your copywriting skills are impeccable

  • You are a natural storyteller, creative and know how to build awareness

  • Ability to work independently and proactively with all levels of the organization

  • You are a team player, well organised and keep cool when working to tight deadlines

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in media and communications, marketing or journalism are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
