About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Social Media Manager who’ll take full responsibility for our social media strategy and its successful implementation. Your content and campaigns will inspire and engage the cycling and outdoor community worldwide. You will work with highly skilled brand, copy, design and community experts  and you will have a lot of freedom and responsibility in your role.

What you will do  

  • Develop a social media strategy, tailored to maximise key channels, that supports brand building strategies and drives engagement with our users and outdoor communities.
  • Research preferences of our community, content trends and benchmarks our competitors on all relevant social media channels.
  • Define ambitious goals, monitor all relevant KPIs and report on our social media achievements.
  • Drive a successful brand presence, develop a sustainable growing community and positive impact on our brand.
  • Lead the creation of engaging content ideas for the channels, and actively support company wide campaigns.
  • Team up with our Brand Squad to generate, edit, publish and share engaging copy, photos, videos and products news.
  • Team up with our Community team, marketing managers and support teams to engage with our community on our social media channels.
  • Interact with our ambassadors, content producers and partners, and encourage our community to share content with us.

You will be successful in this position if you

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management
  • Successfully developed and implemented social media strategies before
  • A demonstrable understanding of the outdoor and cycling community (if this isn’t evident from your CV, please include links to your personal social media and/or komoot profile, or another app)
  • Experience driving strategy for social media platforms including, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads and LinkedIn
  • Experience in growing and managing a Youtube channel
  • Hands-on experience creating content ideas for social media including a good eye for design layout with a working knowledge of relevant design tools.
  • The ability to write engaging copy in English
  • Strong analytical skills and a methodical way to optimise our social media activities
  • Strong organisational and internal communication skills
  • Bonus: You are fluent in further languages
  • Bonus: Your graphic design skills are to a high standard
