Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Marketplace Merchandising Manager to join our EMEA Merchandising team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

As Marketplace Merchandising Manager you are responsible to create the right assortments for the Street – Sport Inspired – Sporting Goods Strategic Accounts and main Wholesale partners, having as a focus point our consumer ensuring a differentiated and segmented approach to drive mutual profitability for the account and Timberland.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Provide input to Product Merchandising to support the development of the Assortment
  • Provide input and recommendations for regional sales plan to MCO Planning by Channel, Season and Account
  • Provide input and recommendations for regional sales plan to Merch Planning by Consumer Environment, Gender, Key Franchise Families & End Use
  • Deliver Consumer Relevant Assortments for Key Accounts according to:
    • Consumer Environments and local needs
    • Assortment structure and Product Merchandising & Marketing initiatives
    • Segmentation and Differentiation Strategy
  • Determine breadth and depth of account assortments at each level of Assortment Architecture
  • Deliver assortment and investment plans for Strategic Accounts in close collaboration with their buying team and Key Account Manager to ensure the right brand positioning and sales turnover
  • Be a key player in GTM integration and develop a GTM process for the accounts
  • Monitor assortment performance vs. Strategic Choices and Merchandising Plans; drive Monthly Performance meetings with Product Merchandising
  • Prepare and drive Pre-line meetings alongside KA manager
  • Collaborate with marketing for bespoke KA campaigns
  • Frequently visit the accounts alongside KA manager:
    • For deep understanding of Consumer and Account evolution
    • Monitor and track local (and adjacent) competitors' performance and initiatives, for an “hyper-local expertise”
    • Develop the best assortment of the account but also brief the peers on gaps in the assortment to identify SMU needs

Skills for Success

  • 5+ years of experience in Merchandising / Merchandise Planning / Allocation, ideally in a major lifestyle brand
  • University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Merchandising or economics
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken)
  • Analytical / Technical skills, Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Results and goal oriented
  • Capable to understand complex processes
  • Great in building relationship with various departments and strong communication skills
  • Successful in working in complex matrix organization
